Sponge is an online journal for science fiction and speculative fiction, based in the post-apocalpytic city of Christchurch, New Zealand. We publish short stories and poetry from NZ, Australian, and Pacific writers, with a particular focus on new and emerging writers.

Sponge is currently closed for submissions.

We just went live with our fourth issue of the journal and are taking a break from submissions for now.
